Did you know 17.7 million children in India are currently out of school? 1 in 4 school going children have dropped out of school. 73% of girls do not get past 10 years of school. 33 million children in India are employed in various forms of child labour. Poverty, illness, lack of sufficient educational infrastructure, illiteracy of a large population (which further supports illiteracy) and child exploitation are just a few reasons behind the sorry state of our education system.
